Scholarships

Helping you to access the arts

We offer part of full scholarships for students who need them most each year – we’ve awarded over £375,000 in scholarships since 2010. All scholarships are entirely funded by Fourth Monkey.

All scholarships are based on audition outcomes, personal circumstances and financial need and are means tested accordingly, to ensure the financial award is given to those who would otherwise be unable to train as an actor. We are delighted that six of our valued and supportive patrons support our students.

Fourth Monkey is proud to be able to offer financial aid to students who would not be able access our training without our support.

Our Scholarships

THE EMRYS JOHNS SCHOLARSHIP awarded by the Artistic Director, to a student from an underrepresented community, who demonstrates exceptional talent, commitment and investment in the ensemble.

THE RONNIE COLLASH SCHOLARSHIP awarded by the Director of Training, to a student from an underrepresented community, in honour of the late Ronnie Collash, granted to a multi-talented student who embodies his joyful outlook on life.

In most instances, financial assistance would not be given until the actor is in their final term or year of training. This offers us the opportunity to build a working relationship with you, learn more about your approach to your studies, your attempts at funding the course by other means, personal situation and lifestyle. There is an expectation that you have tried to raise finance elsewhere to support your training.
