Monkey Support and Wellbeing
Supporting you through your training journey, offering and creating safe spaces for Monkeys
It is important to us that all our students feel able to make the most of their time at Fourth Monkey – after all, your training journey should be fun, stimulating, and enriching! However, we know it can also occasionally be challenging and stressful, especially if you are living away from home for the first time in a city as busy and bustling as London, so we want to ensure that we have a range of suitable tools and structures in place to help support our Monkeys through these challenging and stressful moments, whenever they may arise.
The mental health and wellbeing of our current and incoming students is something we take very seriously. We are very proud to be able to offer all students in the Monkey community access to mental health support via our partnerships with Falmouth University’s Spectrum Life platform and Wellbeing in the Arts.
Fourth Monkey and Spectrum Life
Fourth Monkey students have 24/7 access to a fully qualified team of counsellors and experts who can help with a range of issues that might include things like anxiety, stress, addictions, bereavement, relationships or anything that is bothering them.
When students first reach out, they will speak to a fully qualified and experienced mental health practitioner. They can request to speak to a female or male Mental Health Coach, someone from a diverse community, or someone with specific LGBTQ+ knowledge, for example. Support is also available in 26 different languages. Their dedicated Mental Health Coach will then work with them to understand their situation, formulate a personalised plan, as well as provide ongoing advice and regular check-ins.
- 24/7 Mental Health Support – Support in seconds by phone, WhatsApp or live chat – available 24/7, 365 days a year
