Fees & Funding
Funding Your Training
We know that the financial investment in actor training is substantial, but insist that it should not be prohibitive. This is why we work with every applicant to whom we offer a place, to make sure they know how they will fund their training and offer support wherever possible.
Traditionally, actor training has been the preserve of those who could afford it. However part of Fourth Monkey’s mission is to diversify the voices we hear on stage, which is why we are committed to opening access to our courses. We believe that anyone who has the drive and determination to work in this competitive yet rewarding industry is able to do so through various funding options to make training something everyone can aspire to.
As a charity organisation, all of our student fees go toward the training we provide, keeping it ethical in its delivery and delivering the highest calibre of training we possibly can. Discover the various ways you can fund your training and plan your finances for life as a student, from accessing student loans, scholarships and bursaries, to information and advice about student finance and budgeting for your studies.
Undergraduate Tuition Fees & Additional Cost
It is important to ensure you fully understand how you will fund your training before you apply or attend an audition with us. The responsibility for funding your training ultimately lies with you and we strongly advise that you ensure you qualify for a student loan before you apply for a student loan.
There will also be some additional course costs for you to consider, that are not covered by the tuition fees for materials, equipment, or trips required for your studies. Most UK students are able to take out a maintenance loan to assist with living costs.
